What We Do

The Friends have played a majorrole in the ongoing care and restoration of the Merrick Public Library, including painting and plastering, repairs to the doors, and stained glass windows. We have also restored the fireplace paneling and assisted with funding roof repairs. We have generously supplemented the funding of security systems. We have also assisted with the rebinding of historical books and the purchase of children's materials.
